Ann Fox • Creative details

As a young girl, Ann Fox would dress up in gloves + head to the original downtown Dallas’ Neiman Marcus to help her father choose his ties. She loved visiting the architectural salvage haunts with her parents. Weekends were spent coloring in building plans at her dad’s office. Often, she would empty her giant full size Crayola box, only to put the crayons back in the precise “color order.”

Design of all types has filled Ann’s life. After earning dual degrees from Southern Methodist University in Real Estate + Journalism, she began her retailing career at Harold’s Apparel, where she managed stores as well as designed merchandise of all kinds. Next, she was among the first in the country to be hired to lead the Ralph Lauren Home Collection team, participating in product design, store interior design + purchasing antiques for the stores.

Realizing the void in specialty home furnishings in the Dallas market, along with utilizing her extensive retail + design experience, Ann opened Room Service by Ann Fox in 1987. The nationally recognized + award winning home furnishings store lead Ann to a great deal of notoriety in the industry. From product design, many television appearances, countless  features in shelter books + magazines, she has become a nationally recognized brand in the interior design field.

Ann has been an editor + stylist for many magazines including Country Home, Southern Living + D Home Magazine. Her interior design clients reach across the United States, from Nantucket + New York to Santa Fe + Aspen. The signature style includes a beautiful mix of comfort, designer details + clever interior specifications. A lifetime of passion for architecture + interior design provides for  a knowledgeable, experienced customer relationship.  Clients call on her to consult on all aspects of their lives from party planning to personal shopping to travel planning.

Along with her homebuilder husband, Randall Underwood, Ann has produced + designed some of the most unique quality speculative homes in the Park Cities area of Dallas. The talented team works together on many building projects. They have a teenage son, Jackson, who has been assisting in photo shoots + projects for years.

Robin Riddle • Interesting elements

Growing up in New Orleans, Robin Riddle was exposed early on to great architecture and design. One of her earliest memories of her passion for interior design was the great fun she had as a young teenager getting to pick out fabric, wallpaper and carpet for her bedroom redo. Boy, were her parents brave! (Few would allow dusty pink carpet – but it worked!) Many hours were spent pouring over Laura Ashley home furnishings catalogs and shelter magazines –- not every teenagers hobby.

After attending Mississippi College on scholarship, Robin transferred to Baylor University to pursue her interior design degree. While in college, she assisted in managing a Laura Ashley store in Dallas, back among the home furnishings she loved. From there, she began to work with Ann at her home furnishings store Room Service by Ann Fox. Her many years in the retail design industry honed her skills of finding the perfect sources for each design job.

After starting a family, she started her own interior design business, A Feathered Nest. As a mother of two young children, Maddie + Cooper, she realizes that practicality must walk hand-in-hand with good design. She strives to create inviting rooms with a relaxed livability, mixing antiques with strong, modern influences.

Robin’s design projects have been featured in several national magazines, as well as her freelance styling work. She was a lead stylist and source contributor for the book, Perfect Weddings.  Her kitchen was featured on the cover of Kitchen Makeovers.

Over the years, Robin has had the pleasure of working on both new construction and major renovation projects. She strives to bring out a client’s own personal style to create an interior they will truly enjoy.
